Horse Riding Lesson Programs
GROUP HORSE RIDING LESSONS
Whether you've never been on a horse before or you've done some riding, we have great instructors and equally great horses and ponies that can help you reach your goals! We have a number of options for group lessons where we aim to group students according to their riding level.
Our programs offer students the opportunity to look after a horse as if it were their own for the duration of the class and participate in our structured learning program, ultimately giving students the information and skills they require if they were to be responsible for a horse from a basic to more advanced level.
We strongly recommend children try a day in our School Holiday Program before committing to a term of lessons. For children who've already started riding, coming to Holiday Program allows us to assess their skills/experience & determine if we have suitable vacancies (and horses) to offer an enrolment. Our riding lesson programs suit children 8yo+.
ENROLMENT STRUCTURE
Our enrolment structure is based on Term Enrolments where students come to their scheduled class each week for the duration of the term. We offer a nice discount to students who buy a Term Enrolment as it gives us the certainty we need for adequately planning human and equine workloads and class schedules.
SATURDAY AND MIDWEEK
Lessons run on Saturday mornings and after school (4pm - 5.45pm) midweek. Approximately 1 hour is dedicated to riding, the remainder of time is spent grooming, saddling and participating in horse handling and theory exercises, packing up, cleaning up etc.
SUNDAY PROGRAM
The Sunday program is a fortnightly day program running from 10am - 3.45pm. We ride morning and afternoon and provide adequate time for students to hone their knowledge and skills via horse handling experience and theory exercises similar to that of the shorter group classes. BBQ lunch provided.
PRIVATE LESSONS - ADULT STUDENTS ONLY
A private lesson can be tailored so you get exactly what you want out of your time here. And if you don't know what you want, our instructors will always have suggestions! We offer private lessons during school hours midweek, they can be booked on a regular or casual basis, subject to availability. Private lessons can be ridden or horsemanship/groundwork lessons.
HAVE YOUR OWN HORSE?
Lessons are also available for horse owners during school hours midweek. Horse owners do not need PCAV/HRCAV/EA membership. Enquire!
Group Lessons Indicative Enrolment Fee:
$875 for 10 consecutive weeks
